We had to leave Pittsburgh early to get to Jonathan's 9:30 a.m. game the day after we endured the zoo. Lucky for me, I married Jeff Gordon's biggest fan. OK, just kidding but Chris set a record-breaking pace on our way home...
We made it home with a couple of minutes to spare then headed out to the ball field.
Drew attempted to be the bat boy but by the second inning his ravenous hunger was unbearable. Incessant pestering got him nothing from me but Papa decided to be the good guy and buy him a huge bag of chips and Gatorade. It's amazing what those fried potatoes do to the morale of a five year old child! I heard no complaints the rest of the game...and Papa was the hero.
